One of our friends from Boston had come over and we were planning to visit some place and we decided to visit Grand Canyon for two days. I had a busy sunday completing all my project work and assignments so that i could leave on sunday night with my friends for Grand Canyon. It is surprising that when i have deadlines and i am working towards finishing it, my productivity increases manifold. I was free at 8:30pm with all work done and ready to leave. We hit the freeway at around 10pm and reached the canyons at 5 in the morning. We booked a room for ourselves in Holiday Inn and slept till 10am. Got ready and left for visiting the various points in the Canyons. Visited the Yavapai point, Grand View point and did a 2 mile trek on that day from Hermit’s Rest point. The trek was well maintained and it was fun trekking after a long time. We were pretty tired from the trek and hungry too. We had dinner at McDonald’s. We were considering rafting for tuesday but we were saddened by the part that rafting is only allowed in the Colorado River from Mar 15th till Oct 31st. Still, keeping the spirits high, we decided on trekking for the next day too. We woke up around 10am and checked out of the hotel and driving towards Desert View where we get to see a panaromic view of the Grand Canyons. The view was awesome and some of the pictures i took are amazing. You can check the pictures in my photo gallery. We started trekking at around 1 in the afternoon on the Tanner Trail which is an un-maintained path and the trek was really steep but it was adventurous. We drove back home starting at 4pm from there and reached home at around 11pm. All in all a wonderful trip with great friends. A much needed break is what i wanted to start studying in full for my upcoming final exams starting next week. Here’s wishing me luck with my finals. Have a great Thanksgiving break. Stay Happy

Today was 4th July and guess wat? America’ Independence Day today… It was the last day of a long long weekend which was really spent in the blink of my eye. Today me and my friend Vivek planned to visit San Fransisco. I had heard that lots of live shows, fireworks are on display in the evening in the Fisherman’s Wharf Area. Reached SF at 2:30 in the afternoon and caught Bus#30 to Fisherman’s Wharf. When we walked a couple blocks down from the bus stop, we saw the world’s most famous crooked street. It is one of the most wierd and difficult streets to drive on. It is a very steep slope. Looking at other people driving their cars down the crooked street, even i wished i had a car which i could drive on this street. I am sure driving on this street must be an adventure. I must tell ya, SF is a city of slopes all over the place. We enjoyed watching a couple shows at Pier 39 and 41. The men at the show were impressive. We then went to Golden Gate Bridge from where we could see the Fireworks after sunset. All these journeys were covered on bus and we had taken the ticket only once of 1$ 50c and we were showing the same ticket on all buses saying we are transfer passenger
uLLu banane ka mast idea na?? The fireworks started at 9:30 and lasted for a good 20 minutes. The show was very impressive. I really liked the fireworks show. I wish i had batteries for my digital camera which had not died by the time the fireworks started so i could share with you the video of fireworks on display. We walked back to the bus stop and to our way to Cal Train station to reach Sunnyvale. We managed to get the last train of 12:00 am and reached home at 1:35am.
Quite a celebration by me and my friend Vivek for 4th July. I hope you enjoyed reading this post. It’s 4am and my east coast family is already up and i am going to sleep. Bye.
